Building A Small Aquaponics System – Aquaponics DIY Package

When designing an aquaponics setup, the most technical part is to dimension the right pump with the good bell siphon system. With this kit you can now very easily build a small aquaponics system!

Simply follow the below step by step process:

1. Find 2 tanks (one for the growbed and one for the fish tank)
   • Make sure the fish tank is at least twice the volume of the growbed
   • Make sure the Grow bed is at least 30cm deep.
2. Install the growbed on top of your fish tank.
3. Drill a 25mm hole inside the growbed tank.
4. Install the Bell siphon
5. Fill the growbed with media,
6. Put the pump in place into the fish tank (using a 13mm pipe from the pump to the growbed)
7. Fill the fish tank with water
8. Turn the power on

In two weeks’ time you will be able to put some plants such as lettuce in your growbed and in 4 weeks you will introduce your first fish into the system!
